If this doesn't pull at your heart strings, then I don't know what will. God clearly has demonstrated all throughout history that he can make extraordinary things happen to very uncommon people. Remember Moses (speech impediment), Gideon (poor farmer), Peter (fisherman), etc. I think this can all be summarized by the passage in Matthew 10:27 (NIV)
"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
Now that's a peculiar line of thought in a world where self achievement and pride dominate. Be humble and recognize the giver of all talents and blessings!
